Colorado Hotels and Travel Guide

Colorado  is a glorious place to visit and live   Traveling around Colorado can be an experience of  great contrasts. As you cross  our eastern border  the Great Plains that you  see is sometimes the very same as the  land the pioneers who settled this great country saw as they moved our nation westward. In many places it is still almost original just the way Native Americans experienced it.. Within just a few hours of the eastern plains areas you can experience the  radical change to foothills blending into and upward to high country mountains and valleys that the Ute Indians called their summer home.

On these pages you will find things to do and things to see in the beautiful state of Colorado.

We have many natural wonders such as Rocky Mountain National Park above  Estes Park Colorado, and the Pawnee National Grasslands east of Greeley  The Great Sand Dunes National Park in the San Luis Valley in Southwestern Colorado and Mesa Verde National Park near Durango also in southwest Colorado.

Of our cities all of the larger ones are on the eastern slope of the Rockies. Only Grand Junction on the Western slope is of any real size. However, Grand Junction is the home of The Colorado National Monument and is a good jumping off place to tour western Colorado.

Of the eastern slope cities they are Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver/Boulder, Longmont, Loveland/Greeley and Fort Collins. Just east of Denver of course is Denver International airport and is home to most of the air traffic in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain west.

Almost all of what you see here was written and visited by the author who is a Colorado native. I of course do not see things as a visitor so you are getting what I think is beauty and places to visit on any trip you may make here.

The site is primarily things to do while traveling and visiting Colorado. We have a good hotel and motel booking service and we cover most of the Colrado cites with good choices and good rates.
