Colorado. They are listed by city and we add descriptions and

Little Thompson Valley Pioneer Museum. Also known as The Bimson
Blacksmith Shop. Small museum located in downtown Berthoud. National

American West Museum
Preserves the history and culture of those African American men and
women who helped settle and develop the American West. Located in
the former home of Dr. Justina Ford, the first Black woman doctor in
Denver. Exhibits on African American cowboys including Bill Pickett.

Museum Discover The Children's Museum of Denver, where
interactive Playscapes, programs, and special events all make
learning fun by engaging children, infant through age 8, to play,
learn and explore. It is a place that ignites and fosters a love of

Colorado
Sports Hall of Fame Come see the museum honoring Colorado
sports legends. Open most Thurs.-Sat. from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Free. Also
visit INVESCO Field at Mile High. Tours begin each half hour and are
75 minutes in length. This is your chance to see the 'back of the
house' where the Broncos play. Adults $9, children and seniors $7,

Cherokee
Ranch & Castle Guided tours and English-style teas are
offered at this historic building just 20 miles south of Denver.
Built in 1926, the house museum is modeled after a Scottish castle,
and features an extensive collection of art and antiques. It is
surrounded by 14,000 acres of open space and offers spectacular

Firefighters Museum. The Museum houses an extensive
collection of artifacts, photographs and documents dating from 1866
to the present which relate to the history of firefighting.
Educational programs focus on fire safety and prevention. Hands-on
activities for children and adults. Private parties and birthday

Byers-Evans
House
Italianate house built in 1883 and restored to the 1912-1924 period.
This Denver landmark reflects the character of two early and

Molly Brown House Home of the
"Unsinkable" Molly Brown, Titanic heroine, restored to its original
Victorian splendor. All tours are guided and last 45 minutes. Group
tours by reservation only; walk-ins welcome. Available for private
events. Open Tues.-Sat. at 10 a.m.; Sun. at Noon; Open 7 days a week

Americas is the only museum in the Rocky Mountain Region focusing on
the art, history, and culture of Latinos in the Americas from ancient

Museum of Outdoor Arts A 100+ piece
sculpture garden in City Center Englewood, Greenwood Plaza, and Hudson
Gardens. Self-guided tours may be taken daily during daylight hours.

Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum Thematic
quilt exhibits change five times per year and feature both historic
traditional quilts and contemporary art quilts. Exhibits for 2006

Indian Museum The Ute Indian Museum offers one of the most
complete collections and exhibits featuring the Ute peoples of

Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum An extensive of
collection of aircraft and related aviation and military exhibits
preserving the history of the service men and women who served at
Lowry AFB. 31 aircraft on display. Hours: M-Sat 10am-5pm and Sunday

44,000 sq ft surrounded by a restored collection of historical

Lower Stanley Village in Estes Park Open year around and

Gold Mine & Mill Tour the Argo Gold Mine, Mill and Museum
in Idaho Springs.

House Museum Built in 1867 to accommodate legislators when
Golden was the Territorial Capital and operated as a boarding house
for more than 100 years. Now a museum, visitors experience frontier

Museum of Mining & Industry Relive America’s western mining
heritage at the museum that works! There is something for every age
and interest featuring restored and operating multi-ton steam
engines, mining equipment, gold panning, minerals, art and antiques,

Wildlife Experience Museum An interactive, and ever-changing
museum, that features art, natural history, film and interactive
galleries for kids. Combining a giant screen theater, children's
gallery, a variety of educational programs including arts and crafts

The
Parish House Museum
Constructed in 1914 by
the recognized founder of Johnstown, Colorado is the home of Harvey
and Mary Parish and is a nicely appointed Arts and Crafts bungalow
located at 701 Charlotte Street. The recently restored dwelling now
houses the offices of the Johnstown Historical Society, and a
museum. The museum is open on Wednesdays 9-noon, Saturdays 1-4 p.m.

Avery House Museum. One of Ft. Collins best
examples of it's history. A National Historic Place. Built in 1879. The
house is a living museum. The
owner and builder Franklin Avery is the man we have to thank for the wide
streets as he was the towns first surveyor.

Fort Collins Museum 200 Matthews St. Ft Collins. It's mission is
to explore the legacies of the peoples and environments of the Cache La
Poudre River Valley.

Michael
Ricker Pewter Museum.. 107 N. College Ft Collins. Michael
Ricker has created over 4000 pewter sculptures. Some are depictions
of towns and major attractions and they are all in the museum Link |

Museum Of
Contemporary Art. Located in Old Town Ft Collins in the old Post Office
building on College Ave and Oak St. plaza. The art museum's mission is
to promote the creation and appreciation of contemporay art to the
community. It has exhibitions, lectures and shows on a busy schedule. Link |

John and Inez Romero House Museum. constructed
by hand of adobe bricks in 1927, marks the immigration and active
recruitment of Hispanic laborers seeking employment in the sugar
beet industry boom that began at the turn of the twentieth century.
The John and Inez Romero House, which will formally be known as The
Museo de las Tres Colonias, conveys the stories of hardship,
perseverance and success experienced by Hispanic immigrants to the
Fort Collins area.

Fort Vasquez
Museum. Highway 85 south of the city of Platteville. Go back into
history and visit an 1835 fur trading fort. This adobe fort and outpost
employed such trappers as Baptiste Charbonneau and Jim Beckwourth both
featured in the movie Centennial. The fort owners Louis Vasquez and
Andrew Sublette were among the first settlers and permanent traders
along the South Platte Basin.
