Aspen is famous for its world-class skiing, its
exciting nightlife, and its favored status among the rich and famous.
The Aspen area is also host to many world class ski events. Aspen Mountain remains one of the more glamorous of the Colorado
resorts. It also maintains its status as the only remaining resort in
Colorado reserved strictly for skiers, so if you like to ride instead of
ski, you'll have to take the free shuttle to one of the three other
nearby resorts (Aspen Highlands, Snowmass, and Buttermilk) that together
comprise the City of Aspen resorts.
In addition to skiing, visitors can enjoy a multitude
of activities including dog-sled rides, ice skating, snowmobiling, and
many other outdoor sports. The after ski scene is top notch at a
multitude of bars and restaurants, ranging from pizza joints to
five-star establishments, they will suit most anyone's taste.

Aspen Highlands
Another of the four mountains that comprise the Aspen resort, Aspen Highlands is the locals' favorite for expert and
extreme terrain. This ski and snowboard resort also has the youngest
lift system in the industry.
Freestyle Fridays, the longest running freestyle event in the
country, take place every Friday beginning in mid-February. Enjoy
watching some of Colorado's best bump-and-jump skiers perform their most
daring tricks. Lost, just look for the crowd gathered at the Merry-Go-Round
restaurant.

Beaver Creek After a day of challenging
yourself on Beaver Creek's terrain, which ranges from moguls to open
powder bowls to gladded terrain, you'll want to enjoy the classy but
small slope side ski village.
The even distribution between beginner, intermediate,
and advanced slopes makes this a good destination for families, and kids
will especially enjoy the resorts 'Adventure Zones'. The resort caters
to families and offers planned activities every night of the week,
including a Monday night Figure Skating Series and Tuesday night Movie
Scenes.
Snowboarders find plenty of excitement at three
terrain parks, and World Cup racers name Beaver Creek's Birds of Prey
run as one of the top three in the world.

Breckenridge, a charming Victorian village founded in 1859, offers
unlimited opportunity for any visitor. Enjoy dining and nightlife at
over 70
bars and restaurants, peruse the hundreds of shops around town, or explore the
recreational opportunities ranging from horse drawn sleigh rides to
snowshoeing. Any visit to this historic Colorado ski town is certain to

Buttermilk Mountain,
another of the four Aspen
resorts is
a beginners dream-come-true. The resort offers a full range of classes
and special programs. Since there is no expert terrain here, advanced
skiers and snowboarders should choose one of the other Colorado resorts. For those who enjoy an evening workout, Buttermilk is a popular place
for locals who snowshoe to the summit under the light of the moon, then
ski or snowboard to the bottom. Of course after ski is the old town of
aspen itself. Founded on mineral exploration its cash is in snow now.

Copper Mountain Copper Mountain boasts excellent
terrain suited for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The resort's
21 lifts provide access to 2,433 acres of territory, and continuing
improvements in both lodging and amenities promise to make this one of
the premier Colorado resorts.
The town of Copper Mountain offers more than 40 shops and
restaurants, a racquet/athletic club, and other recreational
opportunities including snowmobiling, snow tubing, and snowshoeing.
Though not as glitzy as some of the other nearby resorts, Copper
Mountain remains a favorite with Colorado locals for its down-to-earth
mountain hospitality and good terrain.
